Cracking the Spine: A Yoga & Writing Retreat
July 7, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - July 9, 2017 @ 3:00 pm
Ecopoets Unite! This weekend Master poet Jessey Nickells is leading a yoga and writing workshop designed to inspire the warrior of Light in us all. The world is our mother and we have seen her mistreatment through our absence. Now is the time to awaken the spirit whom gives rise to all of the world’s beauty within each one of us. Take up the pen and ignite the inner flame of passion for your ancestral roots. Looking deeply, there is humanity, looking even deeper, there is only light. This Light we shall explore together at Stonehouse Farm!
Give yourself the opportunity to escape the city and your routine while practicing different styles of writing and yoga and exploring all that Stone House Farms has to offer. Let go of stage fright through intentionally bad poetry, allowing your silly side to shine. Get to know each other at our bonfire open mic, complete with s’mores. Scratch the surface of Eco-poetics while taking full advantage of the pondside picnic benches, wooded trails and whimsical sculptures in the fields.
We will have a haiku party followed by afternoon tea, learn about fairy tales and of course have plenty of free time to journal and do personal projects… because the mind is always clearest after yoga.
All yoga and writing classes are appropriate for beginners as well as people who put pen to paper and souls to mat every day.
*Meals included with the purchase of admission to the event.
