Homegrown: A Bluegrass and Homestead Gathering

Join us for a three-day gathering over the Independence Day Weekend at Stonehouse Farm to build community through bluegrass music, share what you know or learn new skills in our homesteading workshops, enjoy fireworks, kids’ camp, a special Farm-to-Table dinner, and a shared connection to the land. Make friends and build a joyous community as we work together to learn more sustainable relationships with the earth and ourselves. For more information see Homegrown Gathering.

Bluegrass. Soak up live bluegrass music that provides the soundtrack for the weekend, featuring local and regional bands in stage performances, breakouts, and intimate workshops. Concerts from noon on Saturday through Sunday evening include Miles Over Mountains, Anderlik, Otto & Church, Dan Andree, the Wandering Boys, and a square dance on Saturday night with Glass Mountain! Bring your instruments! Take a fiddle workshop with Dan Andree! Discover a new partner to play with! Sign up to play in the open stage, the jam sessions, or the Homergrown Super Jam Session! Homesteading. Attend hands-on workshops with seasoned homesteaders in everything from soapmaking, bee keeping, and making green products for the home to solar energy and tiny houses! Free workshops in homesteading—the art of living off the land—connect you to the land through self-reliance and sustainable practices, from gardening, preserving food, mushroom hunting and foraged foods, to roasting coffee, homemade soaps, essential oils and aromatherapy, natural dyes, firemaking, home brewing, raising chickens and building coops, maintaining a dairy farm and raising goats, exploring electric cars, or utilizing solar energy. Some workshops include material fees. Homesteading Schedule

Saturday Night Supper, a Farm-to-Table event celebrating Inner Freedom and Connection to the Earth. Dine in our open-air pavilion overlooking the pond while Chef Sarah Mallin delights your palate with a multi-course meal that celebrates traditional American foods, featuring all organic, vegetarian, and delicious food and drink. Her desserts are not to be missed!! Additional purchase required. 

Fireworks. Of course, it’s the Fourth of July weekend!

Kids’ camp. An all-ages workshop for kids to discover, play, and explore their creativity, from making instruments from found materials, foraging in nature, creating installations with natural materials, playing and creating improvisational music, or learning yoga and practicing meditation and mindfulness. Free, register at event.

Food. A variety of food trucks will serve meals throughout the day, and we’ll have BBQ  delivered from a local joint on Saturday, with both vegetarian or meat options. Campers are welcome to cook over fire pits throughout the property. If you bring a cooler, ice and wood are available for purchase at our general store.

Yoga. Free multi-level classes on Sat and Sun morning. Just wear comfortable clothing and join us! 8am in the Pavilion.

Bodywork. Enjoy a massage offered in the serene space of our massage cabin located in the quiet camping area. Melt your aches, pains, and cares away with some beautiful bodywork. See ticketing to purchase and reserve a time slot! Massage Therapy: 60-minute for $75; 90-minute for $110.

TICKETS. Each person over 12 years of age must purchase an event ticket, which includes admission to the event, all concerts, square dance, classes and workshops, use of a campsite and facilities, and free parking. Children 12 and under are free. Housing upgrades available for additional fee, see ticketing.

BYOC (Bring your own Chair) and BYOB (No liquor sales on premises)
